Bailey Lavinsky

My Background

I am excited to be teaching 6th Grade Science at Sloan Creek. I started in Lovejoy ISD in 2021 as a 4th Grade Science Teacher at Puster Elementary. In 2022, I moved to Sloan Creek to teach 5th and 6th Grade STEM. I have served on the District Improvement Committee in 2022-2023.

Before joining Lovejoy, I started my career in education in 2009 as a 7th Grade Science Teacher in Richardson ISD, where I also served as the 8th Grade Science Lead and on the campus Instructional Leadership Team at Lake Highland Junior High.

I graduated from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy in 1995 and practiced pharmacy for almost 15 years before earning my teacher certification from the University of Texas - Dallas in 2009.

My Family

My family and I live in Lucas. I have 3 children. My son, Max, is a graduate of Texas A&M and a marine biologist in Alaska. My daughter, Kylie, is an Arts Administrations major at DePaul University, and my son, Logan, is a student at Willow Springs.
