About Mrs. Chadwick

Hello 5th grade Sloan Creek Leopards! Welcome to the 2023-24 school year.

I am so excited to be teaching 5th grade science for another year at the amazing Sloan Creek. I attended the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, OK. I graduated with a B.S. in Community Health. I worked in the corporate world for several years, but when we decided to move to Texas, I obtained my teaching certification. I started teaching 5th grade in Richardson ISD before I got so lucky to be apart of the Lovejoy community. I first taught 6th grade science, then moved to 5th grade science in 2018.

My husband, Brandon, and I have 3 amazing kiddos, Katie (Melissa HS in 2020), Blair (class of 2030), and Nolan (class of 2036).

During class time we will review and build on past concepts learned through labs, explorations and text. Students will continue working in Google Classroom and STEMscopes, the science curriculum. As a reminder, fifth grade is the first year that science will be STAAR tested; if there are any questions about this or anything else, please reach out.

I am so very excited to get this year started!
