Born and raised in Missouri, I moved to Texas as fast as I could! I grew up in a small farming community and attended Fontbonne University in St. Louis, Missouri. I received my bachelor's degree in Deaf Education. Over the last 20 years I have taught in Richardson ISD, Joplin Schools in Joplin, MO, Plano ISD, and 11 years here in Lovejoy ISD. I have taught hearing impaired children pre-k through 5th grade, Reading Recovery, Reading and Writing Instructional coach, 2nd grade, 4th grade, and 3rd, 4th, and 5th Integrated Studies for the Gifted and Talented. Last year I taught 5th grade Social Studies, and I am excited to teach the same this year.
I have a wonderful husband who is a teacher as well and two children who attend school here in LISD. We spend much of our time attending our children's activities and sports. When I have a bit of free time, I love to watch Cardinal baseball, decorate my home and flower beds, bake and decorate cakes, and read, read, read!
