My name is Eva Logan. I am a graduate of TCU, Go Frogs! This is my 29th year of teaching. I am one of the STEM teachers for 5th and 6th grade at SCIS. I have taught in Lovejoy for twelve years as a GT teacher in the primary grades and as the STEM teacher at SCIS. My prior experience was teaching 2nd and GT 5th grade, writing curriculum and developing software. I also worked for a software company in the summers training attorneys on data bases.
Being a lifelong learner and modeling this to my students is very important to me. I am continually working on and honing my skills as a STEM teacher through training at TCEA, TAGT, Learning at Lovejoy and Region 10 STEM conferences.
My family and I live in Fairview. We have two children, Allie and David. I enjoy spending time at our lake house, playing tennis, reading, and cooking.

What is STEM and what does a STEM class look like? Stem education is an interdisciplinary approach to learning that removes the traditional barriers separating the four disciplines of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics and integrates them into real-world, rigorous, and relevant learning experiences for students.
STEM literacy as defined by the National Research Council is, "the knowledge and understanding of scientific and mathematical concepts and processes required of personal decision making, participation in civic and cultural affairs and economic productivity".
Tutoring for STEM isn't required, but students are welcome to work after school by appointment.
Pick up from tutoring is in the normal pick up line by the gym.
All important information for STEM classes will be located on Google Classroom.
