My name is Nancy Wojcik and I am a 6th grade ELAR teacher at Sloan Creek Intermediate School. Like the saying goes, "I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as soon as I could." I am a Midwesterner by birth - a Chicago-area native to be exact. We moved to Texas in June 2014 as a result of my husband's job transfer. My husband and I have been married for more than 29 years and have three children.
I am a graduate of Purdue University. I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication with a minor in English. I have been in the classroom since 2005. Prior to earning my teaching credentials, I worked with exceptional children including those on the autism spectrum, those with emotional disabilities and those with learning disabilities. Before my teaching career, I worked for a federal agency in Chicago for more than 18 years.
I am very grateful for the opportunity to work at Sloan Creek. I look forward to working with your children and preparing them for the next stage in their lives.
