Hi! This is my second year at Sloan Creek Intermediate but my 8th year teaching! I am thrilled to be working with such an amazing group of students, parents and staff! No matter what this year looks like, I will do my best to make it wonderful for each child. I look forward to getting to know each one of you as the year goes on!
I am originally from Schererville, IN. You may be wondering where this is. It is really a suburb of Chicago, just over the border. So I love Chicago pizza and Chicago style hotdogs. If you ever travel to the Windy City, I can give you some hints. I attended undergraduate school at the University of Notre Dame (Go Irish!). After working as a computer consultant, for Arthur Anderson. I decided to make a career change and obtained my Master in Education from National Louis University in Illinois. I taught 6th-grade math and ELAR for three years before I decided to stay home to raise my sons. My family decided to move to Utah. I ended up teaching second-grader at a private liberal arts school. After teaching there for three years, my husband took a job in Texas. We did a lot of research to find the best district and we moved our family to Lovejoy. The rest is history.
My husband, Bob, and I have two boys. Brayden is an eighth-grader at Willow Springs, and Trevor is a sixth-grader here at Sloan Creek. I love traveling with my family and seeing all the exciting places there are in the world.
This year I will again be Co-Teaching 6th-grade Math with Mrs. Chaney. Also, I teach 6th-grade resource math. I am so excited for this school year.
